Don’t be caught adrift outside the baselines… Listen to Stealing Home!

Based in the Bay Area, CA’s Stealing Home have dropped an excellently produced new track by the name of “Adrift”.

The mellow pop punk track has a driving, yet intricate, beat that helps push the energy forward from the very first verse. Drummer Tyler Townsend’s performance is dynamic and little details like subtle cymbal hits really add some ear candy to the song.

From a composition standpoint, the song features catchy, memorable leads that are sprinkled throughout the chorus by guitarist Taylor Amaro to keep the song interesting and fresh – you can never be quite sure when the hook is going to jump in and get you.

To top it all off, vocalist Steve Radford’s crooning voice seems to be reminiscing of years past, thinking back to good memories.

Stealing Home is certainly a band I’ll be keeping on my radar, and I hope you will, too!

Lionfight brings a new definition to “heavy”

Based in Manchester, UK, Daniel Jenkins doesn’t sound like the average solo project…

He releases music under the name Lionfight, and his latest track “Heaviness” show that one man can be an entire band. Not only is the song full of aggression and killer riffs, but the production is also spot on – crisp highs, clear vocals, and a solid low end to push the track forward.

Don’t walk, Run, to play this song!

Brisbane, Australia, based Bad Party just dropped their second single – and it’s definitely a party in my ears.

With a tasteful blend of modern metal and pop, the band seems to emulate the sound of Bring Me the Horizon but with the key note that they don’t just rip off BMTH…

Instead, Bad Party brings originality to the table and builds on what seems to be their inspiration to create a new, fresh take on the sound.

Listen to “Run” now to get your taste of the party!

ALESTI returns with Voices (feat. Loveless)

ALESTI has done it again – their new song “Voices” crafts a careful blend of heavy guitars with pop production.

Mixed by Joey Sturgis it’s no surprise that the song sounds massive, and having Julian Comeau of the band Loveless providing vocals on the track adds even more to the magic of the track.

If you enjoy this track, be sure to listen to “Take the Pain Away” which we shared in mid 2020.

“Void” by Cantervice will fill the void in your life

Cantervice is not stranger to the music scene, and that much is clear by their debut single, “Void”.

It’s not often that a band’s first single hits as hard as “Void” does, so I wasn’t surprised to learn that “Void” was produced by a member of Nine Shrines, who had formerly played with Attack Attack!

The song’s heavy hitting song makes strong use of dynamics to build energy – the intro gets straight to the point with massive guitars and an in your face attitude, yet that all melts away during the atmospheric first verse.

The production and arrangement are so well executed that the song is interesting to listen to over and over just to pick out the bits of ear candy that help fortify the song.

I can’t help but draw similarities to Janus, the Chicago-based band that was touring quite a bit in the late 2000s.

Let’s go back to where we started

Australian punk band All We Need just released the hard hitting track “Back Where I Started”. Featuring many elements from classic punk (late 80s/early 90s), the song still has the sound of a proper modern production.

If you’re a fan of bands like Off With Their Heads, AFI (for the ohs in the song), or Dropkick Murphys, you’ll be a fan of All We Need.

The Love Ways want to teach you about a Wild Life

Brooklyn-based The Love Ways have dropped a new track by the name of “Wild Life”.

The title doesn’t miss its mark, the song is full of energy with guitars that are distorted just enough to pack a punch while still having a bit of clean sparkle underneath the crunch.

These kids love cold weather – keep them warm!

Marking two posts in a row sharing bands we’ve posted before, Cold Weather Kids makes their RMP return with “Keep Me Warm”, one of the songs off of their brand new EP, Quarantunes.

We previously wrote about the band’s song “Holding On“, a catchy pop punk track. For “Keep Me Warm”, the band dug deeper into their influences, blending sounds from bands like Pierce the Veil, The Venetia Fair, and Sum 41.

The song’s driving beat in the choruses propels things forward, while the lead guitar is the highlight of the verses. If you’re a fan of any of the bands mentioned, this is definitely a track to check out!

We told you you’d be hearing from Last Letters again

In August we wrote about Last Letters, a pop punk solo act from New York. We told you you’d be hearing more from Last Letters and we hate to say we told you so… But we told you so.

While “You Swore” was reminiscent of Angels and Airwaves, Charlie Iwuc, the man behind the band has gone in a distinct Blink-182 direction for his first song of 2021.

“I Love You, Amy Smart” has all the catchy riffs and harmonies you’d expect from a song that Blink dropped around the turn of the century, and is sure to be appealing to anyone who is feeling nostalgic for one of the best eras pop punk has experienced. Take a listen now!

Get Drenched by Torrential Rain if you’re Left Outside

It’s no secret that we like modern metalcore here at RMP – after all, Warped Tour never died in our hearts.

When German 4 piece Torrential Rain sent a new track to be shared, it was an instant “yes!”

Not only have we shared their music in the past (read our writeup about “Home Alone”), we also really enjoyed the new track “Left Outside” and decided that this well-crafted track needed to get a couple extra listens.

Take a listen now, and enjoy the video created by Christian Brauner featuring lighting by Michael Dorner.
