New Hampshire metalcore band In Shallows, drop their powerful new track “Phantom Grace.”
The track starts off bringing in a tsunami of sound with pounding drums and and heavy guitar. The brutality is offset by wide synth progressions in the background giving the song a nice balance. With effective use of breaks and transitions throughout the structure of the song, it’ll leave you waiting for that heavy wall of sound to return!
If you are a fan of heavy tracks that would get you stomping around on the venue floor, give this one a listen!

Mothé shares Dancing On An Empty Floor
Mothé is not like the other artists we share on RMP. Taking a break from pop punk, ska, and similar genres, “Dancing On An Empty Floor” caught my ear.
The track carefully blends pop production elements with gritty rock guitars and punchy drums resulting in an indie rock journey that wouldn’t sound out of place in a hit TV show or movie.
The bridge gets interesting with a much more electronic and synth based approach, and interestingly the song ends with a mellow, subtle outro that breaks the monotonous verse/chorus/verse/chorus/bridge/chorus/chorus mould. Overall, the track is quite enjoyable and I’m looking forward to hearing more.
Keep an eye out for Mothé’s upcoming debut album, I Don’t Want You to Worry Anymore, coming soon!
Written before COVID changed the world, “Puppies” is Compass & Cavern’s commentary on being an introvert in an extrovert’s world. Paying homage to Canadian act PUP, the song utilizes interesting rhythms to break the mould of the standard 4/4 song and give the listener a unique experience.
Though the song reminds me quite a bit of PUP, I also find that the band brought in their own unique twist on the sound, so it’s a refreshing and original sounding take – rather than a carbon copy.
As you’re listening, don’t forget to smile back… Because what monster doesn’t smile at the sight (or sound) of a puppy, right?

While the midwest (aside from Chicago) might not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of music, it shouldn’t be ignored. With bands like 21 Pilots, Off With Their Heads, The Swellers, and more, there certainly is lots of talent to be found in the midwest.
Lightshore has the chops to become one of the next bands from the area to “make it”. The Bloomington, Indiana, based trio have the combination that’s needed in the alt rock world: catchy choruses, a unique sound, and solid production.
Their latest single, “Take It” is all of the above and then some. Take a listen now, you won’t regret it!
Fake a Home from Phoenix Arizona bring a new track under the genre of what they call “post-pop punk.”
You can really hear the differences from standard pop punk in this song with the diverse structure and the aggression in the lyrical content as well as the breakdown section. The song brings you through a fast paced personal story of manipulation that hints at an underlying aura of anger.
Be sure to listen to the whole track and catch the pounding wall of sound and emotion in the breakdown and outro section!

Spice things up with “I Can’t Sleep”
Columbus, OH, rock duo Spice Jar have a clear sense of direction for their music.
While their influences can be heard in the track, it bursts with originality and their own unique twist on indie punk.
Somewhat ironically, the track’s most familiar sound is not from other bands of the genre, but the vocal melody of Mumford and Sons’ “Little Lion Man”. Hearing that melody over a punk song instantly piqued my interest, and I hope you will enjoy the juxtaposition as much as I do.
The band will be releasing their debut EP Rom-Com soon, so stay tuned!
Typically when we hear of artists from Atlanta, we think of rap – after all, Atlanta is the unofficial rap capitol of the US.
But, that doesn’t mean rock and metal bands don’t exist in the Big A, and up and coming metal act Breakthrough Even proves it!
The band’s latest track, Phoenix Down, is out now and features carefully thought out riffs that creative a wall of sound that punches you right in the face.
One of the best parts of the song is that the guitars take a backseat when the vocals come in, giving the vocals their space to shine until it’s time to hand things back over to the guitars.
This juxtaposition creates an enveloping feel to the song, and is quite a highlight for me. I hope you enjoy it, too!
These Old Wounds won’t fade
Tulsa, OK, based hard rock band Fight The Fade have released the massive new track “Old Wounds” (not to be confused with the band of the same name).
The song takes the listener on a journey by beginning with an ominous, building intro. As the song progresses seamlessly to the first verse, things seem to reach a plateau until the chorus hits – and it hits hard.
The track continues on to provide great dynamic highs and lows between the verses and choruses, and later in the song an anvil replaces the snare drum to achieve a unique and powerful sound.
Considering the band has been around for over a decade, I’m surprised I haven’t heard of them before – but I’ll absolutely be keeping my eye out for their next release!

Based in the Bay Area, CA’s Stealing Home have dropped an excellently produced new track by the name of “Adrift”.
The mellow pop punk track has a driving, yet intricate, beat that helps push the energy forward from the very first verse. Drummer Tyler Townsend’s performance is dynamic and little details like subtle cymbal hits really add some ear candy to the song.
From a composition standpoint, the song features catchy, memorable leads that are sprinkled throughout the chorus by guitarist Taylor Amaro to keep the song interesting and fresh – you can never be quite sure when the hook is going to jump in and get you.
To top it all off, vocalist Steve Radford’s crooning voice seems to be reminiscing of years past, thinking back to good memories.
Stealing Home is certainly a band I’ll be keeping on my radar, and I hope you will, too!
Brooklyn-based The Love Ways have dropped a new track by the name of “Wild Life”.
The title doesn’t miss its mark, the song is full of energy with guitars that are distorted just enough to pack a punch while still having a bit of clean sparkle underneath the crunch.
Take a listen to the song now and let us know what you think!
