“Didn’t You Get The Memo?” Damnear Divine gets it!

Pop punk band Damnear Divine, from Las Vegas, Nevada, puts up their track “Didn’t You Get The Memo?”

Damnear Divine has been kicking it since 2009, and has started getting more active now in 2021, re-releasing their EP from 2011 “Freeways & Farewells” this year! This track has a great energy to it and has the classic pop-punk vocal sound we all love. The guitars are smooth but driving with that distorted warmth. The snippets of aggression with growl vocals offer a nice contrast to the prominent lead vocals in the song. The use of gang vocals on this track are really well done and add a lot of depth to the transitions.

Whether you’ve heard the track already or not, it’s a solid production that I think anyone could get stuck in their head! We’re glad Damnear Divine is getting back out there and tearing it up!

Homesick enough to say “We Are Done”

Pop punk band Homesick, from Madrid, Spain, drop a burst of energy in their new track “We Are Done!”

We Are Done is as much heavy hitting as it is melodic and easy to follow along with! Transitions of energy between verses and choruses leave you with a nice dynamic progression that’ll get your blood pumping. The choruses take you for a spin with a catchy melody-line and yelling towards the end. The lead guitar also does a great job of lightening the song up, while not being overpowering or abrupt. Be sure to listen to the end to hear the vocal-centric breakdown. It really kicks into the next part with all instruments!

Listen to “We Are Done” here and be sure to give Homesick a follow to stay up to date!

Theatria’s rebirth comes with “Daddy Issues”

Hailing from Ontario, Canada, Theatria is not your average band. Founded over a decade ago by producer Todd Barriage, the band has evolved from a solo project into a full band experience.

After a three year break from music, Barriage is back on the horse as a full-time producer… And along with that comes the first Theatria release in four years.

After covering AFI’s classic album Sing the Sorrow in full, it was time for Theatria. “Daddy Issues” combines elements that could be heard in newer songs by Senses Fail, with a vocal timbre similar to that of Vic Fuentes from Pierce the Veil – bands that, ironically, Barriage is not an avid listener of.

Regardless, “Daddy Issues” is a fantastic track for anyone who enjoys passionate punk-rock with angsty lyrics. It’s not your average happy song – but it’ll get you pumped up to go take on anything life throws at you.

The band also has a great sense of humor, making “Daddy Issues” condoms available on their webstore. Get yours today, before it’s too late!

“Take What You Need” from this new post-pop punk track!

Fake a Home from Phoenix Arizona bring a new track under the genre of what they call “post-pop punk.”

You can really hear the differences from standard pop punk in this song with the diverse structure and the aggression in the lyrical content as well as the breakdown section. The song brings you through a fast paced personal story of manipulation that hints at an underlying aura of anger.

Be sure to listen to the whole track and catch the pounding wall of sound and emotion in the breakdown and outro section!

Remember the best of season(ing)s with Good Thyme

Sweden might not be the first place you think of when you think of pop punk… Realistically, it probably isn’t even in the top ten.

But that’s about to change – Those Without are poised to take the scene by storm, having already received from Altpress, and music so catchy that plenty more is sure to follow.

The band’s first full length, Bittersweet, is set to drop in September, so be sure to stay tuned!

Don’t be caught adrift outside the baselines… Listen to Stealing Home!

Based in the Bay Area, CA’s Stealing Home have dropped an excellently produced new track by the name of “Adrift”.

The mellow pop punk track has a driving, yet intricate, beat that helps push the energy forward from the very first verse. Drummer Tyler Townsend’s performance is dynamic and little details like subtle cymbal hits really add some ear candy to the song.

From a composition standpoint, the song features catchy, memorable leads that are sprinkled throughout the chorus by guitarist Taylor Amaro to keep the song interesting and fresh – you can never be quite sure when the hook is going to jump in and get you.

To top it all off, vocalist Steve Radford’s crooning voice seems to be reminiscing of years past, thinking back to good memories.

Stealing Home is certainly a band I’ll be keeping on my radar, and I hope you will, too!

These kids love cold weather – keep them warm!

Marking two posts in a row sharing bands we’ve posted before, Cold Weather Kids makes their RMP return with “Keep Me Warm”, one of the songs off of their brand new EP, Quarantunes.

We previously wrote about the band’s song “Holding On“, a catchy pop punk track. For “Keep Me Warm”, the band dug deeper into their influences, blending sounds from bands like Pierce the Veil, The Venetia Fair, and Sum 41.

The song’s driving beat in the choruses propels things forward, while the lead guitar is the highlight of the verses. If you’re a fan of any of the bands mentioned, this is definitely a track to check out!

We told you you’d be hearing from Last Letters again

In August we wrote about Last Letters, a pop punk solo act from New York. We told you you’d be hearing more from Last Letters and we hate to say we told you so… But we told you so.

While “You Swore” was reminiscent of Angels and Airwaves, Charlie Iwuc, the man behind the band has gone in a distinct Blink-182 direction for his first song of 2021.

“I Love You, Amy Smart” has all the catchy riffs and harmonies you’d expect from a song that Blink dropped around the turn of the century, and is sure to be appealing to anyone who is feeling nostalgic for one of the best eras pop punk has experienced. Take a listen now!

American Thrills are just “Regular Blokes”

Based in Connecticut, American Thrills is a product of the pandemic. The band is made up of members of The Tired and True as well as Shut Up and Deal.

With an EP produced by Nick Bellmore (who has worked with Hatebreed and Make Do and Mend) on the way, saying I’m excited to hear more from this band would be an understatement. The EP will be released on December 18th, so keep your ears peeled!

With such a clean and clear mix, combined with their new classic punk sound akin to Off With Their Heads and Dropkick Murphys, American Thrills is ready to grow their audience!

I’ve shamelessly had We Were Sharks on repeat all week

I don’t know how, but apparently I’ve slept on We Were Sharks for nearly a decade. After hearing this song, I asked some friends if they knew We Were Sharks… And one of them did.

So, ensue sharing their back catalog and my friend sending me her favorite songs. Ok, so somehow this band’s music evaded me until now. That’s ok.

Let’s make up for it by sharing their kickass new song, “Shameless”! You can listen below, and if you like what you hear, I have good news: the band will be releasing a new album in 2021 on Known Accomplice/Cadence Records and Revival Recordings.
