Bony Macaroni – Piece of Shit

Bony Macaroni is a Dutch emo rock band who is getting ready to release their debut in early 2019. The band has a folky sound to their gang vocals, with a great catchy chorus. Additionally, you can tell the band are fans of Motion City Soundtrack, Weezer, and other bands in the “quirky emo” genre.

The solo and bridge bring quite a different sound to the song, before leading right back into the final chorus. I highly recommend Bony Macaroni to anyone who is looking for a fresh, interesting sound. Keep an eye out for their next single, “Doom”!

The Syndicate – Heart Of Stone

The Syndicate is a one-man band from London. His new song “Heart Of Stone” brings my inner goth out because it reminds me of bands such as Depeche Mode!

Hey Janelle – What’s Wrong With Me

Shorelines – Worry About Yourself

Australian pop punk band Shorelines released their new EP Blank Pages & Broken Records on October 5th, 2018. The first single from the EP, ” Worry About Yourself” is an absolute pop punk banger.

It features tight harmonies, a driving beat, and of course a chorus that’s bouncy AF! Self-produced by the band, this EP follows up their 2017 debut EP New Heights which resulted in a tour supporting Real Friends.

The band has high hopes for the new EP, and says that they wish fans to have a positive takeaway from the music!

We Bless This Mess – Intentions

If you’re a fan of Frank Turner’s melancholy or anthemic folk-punk tunes, you will no doubt be a fan of these guys. We Bless This Mess from Porto, Portugal, released their debut full-length Awareness Songs and Side Stories on Sept. 14th, 2018.

Now residing in London, the band plans to embark on a fall/winter tour of Europe, starting October 10th in Porto and wrapping up on January 25th in Aachen, Germany. Band leader Nelson Graf Reis will also be performing a solo set at Gainesville, FL’s Fest on Oct. 26th! If you have the opportunity I highly recommend checking them out.

All addition dates are available on their Facebook Page.

Ballyhoo! – Detonate

If you’re in my circle of friends, you no doubt know that Ballyhoo! is one of my favorite bands. I discovered their music back in 2011 when they were on the road with New Politics and Dirty Heads and fell in love with the CD-R they threw into the audience which I managed to catch.

This band has come a long way – their first album 365-Day Weekend was a fun, but very obvious, Green Day ripoff. As time went on, they released several more albums and found their own sound which blends their influences with an original and unique beach-inspired sound.

“Detonate” is the title track and lead single from their seventh album, which is out today, September 28th, 2018. You can pick it up from any of your favorite sources!

VIKINGO! – Set It on Fire

LA rock band VIKINGO! have dropped a new song, “Set It on Fire”, which delivers a punch of 90s rock with solid harmonies. Towards the end of the song, there is a guitar lead that sounds like Tom Morello himself was part of the process, though that is not the case. If you’re looking for a kickass song with high energy, this is it!

Crash the Calm – Bad Habits

Based on Long Island, NY, Crash the Calm submitted their song “Bad Habits”. The song is off of their split EP with Staleworth, a fellow Long Island band.

You can pay what you want for the EP on Bandcamp, or find it on streaming platforms, iTunes, etc.
